Instructions & Patterns: Show #3

For trail please use the space available to you to  your advantage. You may make reasonable substitutions for obstacles with approval from show management. You may use a piece of plywood in place of a bridge. You may use logs and/or poles.  You may use a rope gate or a fixed gate. Standard measurements: Walk-overs: 15 to 24 inches, Trot- overs: 3 feet to 3 feet 6 inches; Lope-overs: 6 to 7 feet.  All 360's are on the haunches.

For the Show #3 trail pattern, the logs/poles that you sidepass through must be spaced appropriately. Do not use standard trot over measurements.

Remember to perform the rail pattern in order or you will get an Off Pattern. Double check your videos.

Awards

Class Awards:

  • Champion Medals for first place.
  • Simple Ribbons 2nd through 5th for all classes
  • All Leadliners will be awarded a Champion Rosette!

Ties for class awards will be broken by score by a predetermined maneuver, then second maneuver and so on. If there is still a tie, a coin flip will occur.

Top Hand Award: Sterling Silver Necklace (Sponsored by Rusty Brown Jewelry):

Awarded to the rider with the most cumulative points (awarded according to the WCRH point schedule). Points may be from multiple horses and multiple divisions. Ties for high point will be broken by the number of top ten finishes, then first place placings, then second, then third, then fourth. If there is still a tie, it will be broken by a coin toss.

Divisions:

Each division entry includes the corresponding Ranch Rail,  Ranch Riding and Ranch Conformation class. Divisions for this show include:

  • Open
  • Amateur
  • Amateur Select (50& Over)
  • Green Horse
  • Green Rider (W/T)
  • Collegiate
  • Youth (18& Under)
  • Short Stirrup (W/T, 12& Under)

Division Awards:

Buckles will be awarded to the horse/rider combination in each division with highest composite (total) scores in each division's performance classes: Ranch Trail, Ranch Rail, and Ranch Riding. Highest composite scores in 2 out of the 3 buckle series shows to count. Note: Competitors must show in all 4 classes in at least 2 shows to be eligible for the performance high point buckles.

A Ranch Conformation High Point Leather Bronc Halter will also be given to the horse with the highest total score out of two shows. May enter multiple divisions. Note: Must show in at least one conformation class in at least 2 of the buckle series shows.

A prize will be given in the first timers class, but it will not be a buckle. This is to keep the class just those that have truly not shown in ranch and not tempt others to enter with a buckle.

Leadliners receive a Champion Rosette!

Ties for high point will be broken by the number of top ten finishes, then first place placings, then second, then third, then fourth. If there is still a tie, it will be broken by a coin toss.

* WCRH reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.

** This 3 show series is not connected with any other WCRH event or online show.
