- Show #4 - September 8th: Open and Youth Ranch Rail Stakes
Disciplined Rail is a class which tests the skills of both horse and rider, as they execute specific gaits, transitions and movements as requested by the judge.

Walk Trot Lope (WTL) Division: Open, Amateur, Amateur Limited, Amateur Select, Green Horse and Youth (18&U)
Walk Trot (WT) Divisions: Short Stirrup (10&U), Green Horse WT and Green Rider
Class Awards:
Ties for class awards will be broken by score by a predetermined tie breaker, then second tie breaker and so on. First If there is still a tie, a coin flip will occur.
Top Hand Award: The Top Hand award will be awarded to the rider with the most cumulative points overall in each buckle series show. For the 2024 Buckle Series, the Top Hand is calculated by overall point totals for horse/rider combination. Winners will be presented with Top Hand award, which is often a buckle or similar value. Ties for high point will be broken by number of first place placings, then second, then third, then fourth. If there is still a tie, it will be broken by a coin toss.
PLEASE NOTE: NO HIGH POINT AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN ON THE DAY OF A SHOW. PLEASE ALLOW OFFICE STAFF NECESSARY TIME TO TABULATE POINTS AND PACK UP THE SHOW.
Divisions:
Each division entry includes the corresponding Ranch Rail, Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail class. Divisions for this show include:
*Classes may combined if less than 10 entries total between the classes.
Division Champion Awards: Silver belt buckles will be awarded to the horse/rider combination* with the highest point total in each division for the series. All classes to count for Classic Series. In order to be eligible to win a division buckle, you must enter and show in Ranch Riding, Ranch Rail, Ranch Trail and Ranch Conformation in that division in 3 out of 4 series shows. Best 3 out of 4 shows by class to count for the division buckles. *Points are on the horse for Open and Green Horse classes. This enables trainers' horses with multiple horses in a division to remain in the running for the buckles. At least 5 riders must compete in a division for a buckle to be awarded. Otherwise, an alternate prize may be awarded or the exhibitor may supplement the cost of the buckle if desired. Series awards will be presented at a ceremony at the WCRH Year End banquet or may be mailed after the banquet. Ties for awards will be broken by the number of first place placings, then second, then third, then fourth. If there is still a tie, it will be broken by a coin toss.

Notable rulebook changes include:
- All amateur divisions are open to riders 19&over.
- When entering an Amateur division, you must choose between Amateur and Amateur Select for each horse/rider combination. You may not show in both. If showing in Amateur or Amateur Select, you may also show in Amateur Limited, if you qualify.
* WCRH reserves the right to substitute prizes of equal value.
** This show is not connected with any other WCRH event or online show. The Top Hand award and High Points for this show will be calculated only off of points in this show to the rules listed on this page.

Pre-entries for show #4 close Friday Sept 27th at 11:59p. We will still accept entries up to 11:59p the day before the show show with a $5 late fee per class. Electronic pre-entry via link below is required. Entry on show mornings is not guaranteed. Contact us at 951-595-7536 to discuss other payment options.
Remember: for 1 day shows, your card is charged at the end of the show day.

Scratch/refund policy:
Scratches will receive a full refund (minus $5 office fee) before the entry deadline and a 75% refund after the entry deadline. You may scratch or replace the rider or horse for your entry by submitting the change to info@westcoastranchhorse.com or calling 951-595-7536. Please include rider name, horse name, class number and name and WCRH member number. Please understand that we book venues, hire judges and order prizes/awards based on participation. If everyone were be allowed to scratch at the last moment, we would no longer be able to offer these shows. In the case of rescheduling due to rain, registered competitors will have the choice to roll over the the rain date or receive a full refund. In the case of show cancellation, competitors will receive a full refund.
