Entering and managing your entries with WCRH just got easier! We have partnered with Equiscribe to offer our members live entries into our shows. Just set up your live.equiscribe.com account, save your horses and exhibitors, save your preferred payment method and you are ready to show. We have provided this short video to show you the sign up and show registration process.

3 show buckle series! Best 2 out of 3 shows (by class) to count for points. Must show at at least 2 out of the 3 shows in order to be eligible for high point and division awards. Hospitality tent with snacks & drinks for exhibitors. 


Classes: Ranch Riding, Ranch Rail, Ranch Trail and Ranch Conformation


Divisions: Open, Amateur, Amateur Ltd, Amateur Select, Green Horse (WTL), Green Horse (WT), Green Rider (W/T), Youth (18 & under), Short Stirrup (12&under)

-August 13: Main arena - Michael Damianos; Trail - Kathy Callahan Smith (CRC)

-October 2 (Rescheduled from Sept 10): Main arena - Jim McCarty; Trail: Margaret Rich (Green Acres Ranch)

-October 22: Main arena - Cathy Hanson; Trail: Jim McCarty (Green Acres Ranch)


Exhibitors: Please go to the office or text/call 951-595-7536 during the show if you'd like to make changes (add/scratch/transfer) to your entries or if you have questions.  Gate adds are not permitted without payment. 


Ranch Rail Stakes Schedule - Class added between Classes 8 & 50% payback in entry fees & a buckle or other prize to the winner, prizes for 2nd through at least 5th place (more prizes added for larger class sizes).

OCTOBER 22nd - Halloween Spooktacular Show

Join us for some Halloween Fun!

  • Rider costumes allowed in lieu of long sleeve shirts for rail, trail and conformation (No horse costumes please in classes aside from costume class)
  • Fall trail course
  • Random exhibitors will receive caramel apples, bags of candy or spooky gifts!
  • Freestyle Ranch Riding class ($25 entry): Exhibitors choreograph ranch riding pattern to music. Costumes and music encouraged! Judged by panel. Buckle to winner! Time limit: 1.5 - 2 minutes. Must include walk, trot, extended trot, spin both directions, sidepass, stop & back. Lope required for WTL riders. Green Riders, Green Horse and Short Stirrup may omit lope.  (Limited to 10 riders. Will be held prior to rail classes) .


Playday classes ($15/class) - All playday classes held during 1 hour lunch break except Dancing Halter, which will be held prior to the Open Ranch Conformation class 

- Costume Contest: Trophy and prize to overall winner, category winners (scary, funny, cute, original), prizes to all entries

-  Scary Simon Says: We'll play this classic game horseback!

-  Sip N Spook Rail Class: Exhibitor will hold a cup of liquid while showing in a rail class. Exhibitor with most liquid remaining wins!

-  Dancing Halter Class (exhibitors dance while exhibiting horses, last horse standing still wins)

Awards

Class Awards:

  • Class Champion Awards given to Champions (except on Show Buck days)
  • Show Bucks, Ribbons and/or Medals will be given through 8th place (varies by show). Show bucks schedule:  $5 to first, $4 to second, $3 to third, $2 to fourth, $1 to fifth through eighth. Show Bucks can be spent at the prize table and/or in the Ranch Horse Supply trailer. 
  • All Leadliners will be awarded a Champion ribbon/medal and a special gift!


Ties for class awards will be broken by score by a predetermined tie breaker, then second tie breaker and so on. If there is still a tie, a coin flip will occur. 


Top Hand Award: The Top Hand award will be awarded to the rider with the most cumulative points in 8 classes (equivalent of two divisions). Top 8 placings to count. Riders may ride multiple horses and in multiple divisions, but must enter 8 classes total to qualify (example: all classes in Green Horse and Amateur division).  Winners will be presented with Top Hand award, which is often a buckle or similar value. Ties for high point will be broken by  number of first place placings, then second, then third, then fourth. If there is still a tie, it will be broken by a coin toss. 


PLEASE NOTE: NO HIGH POINT AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN ON THE DAY OF A SHOW. PLEASE ALLOW OFFICE STAFF NECESSARY TIME TO TABULATE POINTS AND PACK UP THE SHOW. 


Divisions:

Each division entry includes the corresponding Ranch Rail, Ranch Riding and Ranch Trail class. Divisions for this show include:

  • Open
  • Amateur
  • Amateur Select
  • Amateur Limited
  • Green Horse (W/T)
  • Green Horse (W/T/L)
  • Green Rider (Walk Trot)
  • Youth (18&under)
  • Short Stirrup (12&under)


*Classes may combined if less than 10 entries total between the classes. 


Division Champion Award: Silver belt buckles will be awarded to the horse/rider combination with the highest point total in each division for the series for performance (riding) classes. A separate conformation high point halter will be awarded for overall conformation high point with all classes in all divisions to count. At least 5 riders must compete in a division for a buckle to be awarded. Otherwise, an alternate prize may be awarded or the exhibitor may supplement the cost of the buckle if desired.  In order to be eligible to win a division buckle, you must enter and show in Ranch Riding, Ranch Rail, Ranch Trail and Ranch Conformation in that division in 2 out of 3  series shows. Best 2 out of 3 shows by class to count for the division buckles. All conformation classes to count for the conformation award. 


Series awards will be presented at a ceremony at the WCRH Year End banquet Dec 17th at CRC or may be mailed.  Ties for high point will be broken by the number of first place placings, then second, then third, then fourth. If there is still a tie, it will be broken by a coin toss.

** This show is not connected with any other WCRH event or online show. The Top Hand award and High Points for this show will be calculated only off of points in this show to the rules listed on this page.

Pre-entries for show #3 close  11:59p October 20th.  We will still accept entries up to 11:59p the day before the show show with a $30 late fee per horse/rider. Electronic pre-entry via link below is required. Entry on show mornings is not guaranteed. Contact us at 951-595-7536 to discuss other payment options.

Scratch/refund policy for Fall Series:


Scratches will receive a full refund (minus $5 office fee) before the entry deadline and a 75% refund after the entry deadline.  You may scratch or replace the rider or horse for your entry by submitting the change to entries@westcoastranchhorse.com  or calling 951-595-7536. Please include rider name, horse name, class number and name and WCRH member number.  Please understand that we book venues, hire judges and order prizes/awards based on participation. If everyone were be allowed to scratch at the last moment, we would no longer be able to offer these shows. In the case of rescheduling due to rain, registered competitors will have the choice to roll over the the rain date or receive a full refund. In the case of show cancellation, competitors will receive a full refund.
