Divisions: Open, Amateur, Green Rider, Youth
2023 Saddle Race Rules:
- You must be a WCRH member in good standing to be eligible.
- All 2023 WCRH produced live shows to count (with exception of schooling shows). Bonus opportunity for saddle race points: Wine Country Classic Show, March 19th (California Ranch Company)
- All classes within each division to count (including stakes classes).
- Must show in four or more regular season shows, plus the Ranch Horse Celebration and the Ranch Horse Rendezvous to be eligible.
- Points are accumulated based on a horse and rider combination. The live show point schedule is used for point calculations.
- Each horse & rider combination must be nominated via free nomination form at any time before December 1st, 2023 and points will be retrospective. (click here).
- Classes that count for each division:
Open High Point Saddle: Open & Green Horse (WTL) divisions
Amateur High Point Saddle: Amateur, Amateur Limited & Amateur Select divisions
Green Rider Hight Point Saddle: Green Rider & Amateur Limited divisions
Youth High Point Saddle: Youth (18&U), Short Stirrup (10&U) & Green Rider divisions
- Saddles will be awarded at the WCRH Year End Banquet, December 16th, 2023 at Frangipani Winery
- Points will be updated on a monthly basis. For questions, contact WCRHpoints@gmail.com. You will not show up on the point standings until you have shown in 3 shows. This helps us to cut down on labor involved in calculating points for ineligible competitors.
